Snapshot: Rain Warriors

would be a good way to describe Sau and Zeek today. It’s been nothing but gloom today after a thunderstorm rolled in last night with some vog from the neighbor islands. The rain is expected to clear up by tomorrow, but it really put a drain on things today. I met up briefly with Sau and Zeek before lunch to snap this pretty epic picture with my camera phone depicting the mood for today. Both of them are messengers for express delivery companies in Honolulu, and I see them often zipping through traffic to get to each of their stops throughout the day. I admire the fact that they get to do something they love (although it may not be in a same mindset as riding leisurely all day) and get paid to do it. Sometimes I wish I could do the same, but I know how much trouble it is to deal with security guards and receptionists on a daily basis, especially the ones that are persistent in their security procedures, even though you see the person ever single day.

This weekend should be a blast with a housewarming party for one of my coworkers in Hawaii Kai tomorrow and the Sunday Cruise Ride which is planned to run along the route of the Honolulu Marathon happening that day. I have a feeling it will be a pretty epic ride.

    Sup Colin,
Long time no talk. First of all, you have a hella dope page with cool pictures. That is a super nice picture with your camera phone. What kind of phone is that? I’m always at the Starbucks by 1000 Bishop and I always see these guys riding around. I always wondered what they do where they could be riding around all day, but now I know. Anyways, props on having a sick webpage.
