Lookback: One Last Sunday Ride (94 images)

I’ve been pretty busy trying to settle in over here and never got around to editing all my photos from back in Hawaii. This album was from the last Sunday ride I shared with my cycling family. The weather didn’t cooperate much, but it could’ve been worst; it rained in the morning and stormed at night when we were finishing our bbq, but not very much during the ride. I’ll definitely miss riding on Sundays with everyone.. Hopefully, I’ll be back to ride another one if I ever get the opportunity for training back in the states.

Memorable Moments:
-Blowing past a roadie (wearing a full cycling kit) up Waialae wearing my hoodie in the rain.
-Telling myself I’ll never wear a hoodie again while riding in Hawaii after overheating.
-Getting my coworker Karlie to come out and ride with the crew for once.
-The debut of Nick’s 40lb “pursuit” Mongoose bike.
-Casey’s madd barspinz with a cruiser bike.
-Visiting Kaweek’s painting in memory of Zach.
-Casey and Nick’s sweet jumps at the mock-up ramp made at the painting site.
-Riding through downtown, past BOH, one last time.
-Grinding 2lbs of awesome oyster sauce ahi poke from Safeway.
-BBQ’ing with the crew at Kahala Beach Park.
-The crazy guy bothering us during the BBQ.
-Borrowing Sly’s 650 spinergy wheel to obtain an “ultimate pursuit” Lo Pro.
-Ducking for cover after a sporadic shower came out of no where.
-Freezing under the poorly covered pavilion with the rest of the group after the heavy downpour.
-Fitting 7 people in a WRX wagon that seats 5 comfortably.
-Hearing Ian’s tires rub his fenders from Kahala all the way to UH.
-Saying my last goodbyes to most of the crew…
